Ironton, Michigan is possibly most widely known for the Ironton Ferry,
a 4-car cable ferry that crosses a narrow point on the south arm of
Lake Charlevoix in Nothern Michigan. A prior captain of the Ferry is
listed in "Ripley's Believe it or Not" for having traveled 15,000
miles while never being more than a 1/4 mile from his home.

in both pictures is Burl Walker, he owned the store. The original store
was called Walker & Thomson Grocery.
